Colorado Backcountry Hunters & Anglers is throwing the biggest Public Lands Party of the Year May 17th – 19th to celebrate Colorado Public Lands Day!
WHY ATTEND THIS EVENT
The Impact
Public lands are vital to our Colorado way of life; they provide opportunities for adventure and solace, support our local communities, are the foundation of our outdoor recreation economy, and are critical to sustain healthy wildlife populations. While support for public lands is strong, the growing demands on our shared open spaces and the associated impacts on wildlife and habitat are mounting.
The weekend will provide the opportunity for public land champions, user groups, and recreation-based businesses to build relationships while engaging in meaningful, boots-on-the-ground stewardship; removing upwards of 5 miles of barbed wire fence to improve habitat connectivity for wildlife.
The Fun - Live Music featuring Storm Pass
Enjoy some great music featuring Storm Pass, meet new people around the campfire, win great prizes, free swag and door prizes, interact with some of your favorite outdoor brands, and to campout underneath the stars together.
The Camping & Food
I-Bar Ranch is a 10-acre event facility a mile east of Gunnison, featuring a large central pavilion area with a stage, dance floor, food service, two open-air bars, picnic tables, restrooms, and a community-sized bonfire. There is ample room for camping and campers & tents setups are welcome.
Great food, drink & libations will be available for purchase on-site. If you plan to cook your own meals, bring a camp stove as no fires are allowed, and note that personal food, beverages, and pets are only permitted in the camping area, not in the pavilion. And of course, no generators after 9 pm.
