“Roots So Deep” by Peter Byck explores the human relationship with the soil. The filmdives into a regenerative model of agriculture that supports soil health and with it thevitality of ecosystems, comparatively studying traditional and regenerative grazingsystems using science and experimentation. When humans interact with soils in aregenerative way, they hold more organic matter and more carbon.
Join us to watch a showing, followed by a panel of local landowners whose grazing systems matter to our food supply, the local health of the land, and more widespread ecological resiliency.
Please bring cash for snacks and drinks to support a local middle school group raising funds to travel to the Dominican Republic --they’ll work hard as they learn about tropical agricultural systems!
