Please mark your calendars for our annual summer field trip, which will take place on Thursday, August 4th. This year’s field trip will be in the Union Park area of the Taylor Basin. We will visit a few sites in close proximity including: 1) the implemented/ongoing small scale Park Ridge treatment; 2) the planned and sold Park Cone commercial timber sale slated to start harvest this winter; and 3) the future Kentucky Ridge commercial timber sale currently being planned.

Plan to meet at Western Colorado University at 8am. Vans will be provided. We will return to campus no later than 5pm. Please bring sturdy shoes, water, sun protection, rain gear, and a sack lunch with you. To sign up and for more information, please email tnickel@western.edu.
