Summer intern positions begin in May 2024 and conclude in August 2024. The exact dates are flexible depending on each student’s availability and their business need. The internships are full-time paid positions (40 hours/week).
As an intern, you will be responsible for implementing specific environmental characterization projects during the course of the internship, as well as supporting the day-to-day activities of your department. The exact projects will be established according to your availability, interest, skills, and experience, in addition to the specific business needs.

Here is a snapshot of what your day to day will look like:
• The quantification of metal cyanide complexes to assess their stability and environmental mobility.
• Refinement of methods to evaluate the role of microbes in ARD.
• General support to the MTF Water Group Team for improved data analyses and reporting.
• Support for scopes of work – (examples include: toxicity testing, copper treatment, suspended solids removal).
• Development of database structures specific to environmental results for site comparisons.
